Inclusive Uniform Policy

At GAPA Junior Ballet School, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Our uniform policy accommodates all students, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and respected while maintaining the professionalism and global standing of the Global Artsphere Institute of Performing Arts (GAPA).

Ballet Class Uniform Options

Students may choose from the following uniform options based on their preference:

  • Option 1: Leotard Style: Schools-approved colour and style; please ask for the list.

    • Leotard: GAPA schools-approved colour and style.

    • Tights: Pink ballet tights.

    • Shoes: Pink leather (vegan) ballet shoes.

    • Skirt: Ballet wrap skirt.

  • Option 2: Fitted T-shirt and Leggings/Shorts: The colour and style are schools-approved; please ask for the list.

    • Top: GAPA schools-approved T-shirt or tank top.

    • Bottoms: Leggings or shorts in Academy-approved colours.

    • Shoes: Pink leather (vegan)ballet shoes.

    • Socks: White or theatrical pink ballet socks (if applicable).

Royal Academy of Dance requires a particular examination uniform for the Examination classes, including hair and accessories. Your child’s teacher will advise of this if your child is participating in the RAD examinations.

Warm-Up Attire

  • All students are required to wear the GAPA Junior Ballet School Jacket, branded with the logo of the Global Artsphere Institute of Performing Arts.

  • This jacket reflects the School's global prestige and must be worn over the uniform when travelling to and from the studio.

  • Additional warm-up items, such as dance cardigans or tracksuits, may be worn for comfort but must comply with Academy-approved styles.

Travel and Public Appearance

  • Ballet studio uniforms must not be worn in public outside of the studio.

  • Students must arrive and leave the studio in their GAPA Junior Ballet School Jacket or streetwear covering their uniform to maintain modesty and professionalism.

Accessories and Hair

  • Hair should be neatly secured to keep it away from the face, in a bun, ponytail, or other secure style, as preferred.

  • No accessories are allowed

As part of a globally recognised organisation, all students are expected to uphold the GAPA School’s standards in their attire and behaviour. The Global Artsphere Institute of Performing Arts (GAPA) represents excellence in fine arts, and the Junior Ballet Schools strives to reflect this through professionalism, discipline, and respect.

Compliance

  • Students are encouraged to select the uniform option that best aligns with their comfort and identity.

  • Non-compliance with the uniform or behaviour policy may result in being asked to adjust attire.

This uniform policy ensures that all students feel valued and respected and represent the prestigious global standing of the GAPA organisation with pride and professionalism.
