At GAPA Junior Ballet School we are dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and focused environment that reflects the Global Artsphere Institute of Performing Arts (GAPA) values. To support this, we have implemented clear guidelines for social media, photography, and electronic device use.
Photography Policy
Studio Photography:
The Academy may take photos or videos during classes, performances, or events for promotional purposes. This content will be used exclusively on official GAPA platforms, such as social media, websites, and marketing materials.
Parents or guardians must provide written consent upon enrollment for their child to be included in photography or videography. No children’s names will be posted in any public image.
Personal Photography:
Parents and guardians may take photos of their children at designated performances or events unless otherwise instructed.
To respect the privacy of others, photos or videos that include other children or staff members must not be taken, shared, or posted without explicit permission from their parents or guardians. If these posts are not approved, you will be asked to remove them without objection.
Social Media Policy
Official Accounts:
The GAPA Junior Ballet School manages official social media accounts to share updates, achievements, and events. All posts reflect GAPA's values of professionalism, inclusivity, and respect.
Student photos shared on official accounts will showcase the GAPA Junior Ballet School programs while maintaining individual privacy.
Personal Use:
Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to support the Academy on social media but must ensure their posts align with the values of GAPA.
Posting defamatory, discriminatory, or inappropriate content about the Academy, its students, or staff is strictly prohibited.
Tagging and Sharing:
If tagging or sharing content related to GAPA, ensure it upholds the School's standards and professionalism.
Use of the official GAPA logo, branding, in personal posts will not be approval from the Academy.
No-Device Policy
GAPA Junior Ballet School is a no-device school to ensure focus, minimize distractions, and maintain a professional atmosphere. This policy applies to all students, parents, and visitors at the Arnold Street Studios.
During Classes:
Students are prohibited from using electronic devices, including phones or tablets, in the studio.
Devices brought to class must be turned off and stored safely out of sight in the studio device box.
Parents and Visitors:
Parents and visitors are prohibited from using devices, including phones, laptops, or tablets, while on the studio premises.
This policy supports an engaging, distraction-free environment for all students.
Exceptions:
Staff may use devices when necessary for administrative, emergancy or teaching purposes.
Parents or visitors may be permitted to use devices with prior approval for emergency purposes.
Respecting Privacy and Focus
The no-device policy promotes a respectful and focused environment where students can concentrate on their learning and creativity without unnecessary distractions.
All members of the GAPA community are expected to uphold this policy to support a safe and distraction-free space.
Compliance
Breaches of this policy will be addressed promptly. Continued violations may result in restricted access to the studio or the GAPA Junior Ballet Schools events.

Child Safety Policy
At GAPA Junior Ballet School, the safety and well-being of every child is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all children can thrive.
Our Commitments:
We comply with the Child Safe Standards as outlined by the Australian Government.
All staff and volunteers are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
Staff are trained in child safety protocols and mandatory reporting.
Bullying, discrimination, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Reporting Concerns:
Any concerns about a child’s safety should be reported immediately to the Director or a staff member.
Concerns will be handled with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality.

Behaviour Policy
We believe in fostering a positive and respectful learning environment for all students, parents, and staff. The following guidelines ensure a harmonious experience at GAPA Junior Ballet School:
Students:
Show respect to teachers, peers, and studio property.
Attend classes punctually and in proper attire as outlined in the dress code.
Maintain focus and follow instructions during classes.
Parents/Guardians:
Support and encourage your child’s learning journey.
Communicate respectfully with staff and other parents.
Ensure timely drop-off and pick-up of your child.
Consequences for Misconduct:
If a student or parent displays inappropriate behaviour, the GAPA Junior Ballet School reserves the right to issue warnings, hold meetings, or, in serious cases, suspend attendance.
Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for all to enjoy.
Payment and Refund Policy
At GAPA Junior Ballet School, we aim to provide clarity and fairness regarding payments and refunds.
Tuition and Event Fees:
Term fees are billed termly two weeks before the end of the previous term and must be paid in full by the due date and before the start of the next term
Options for part payment plans will be offered to those that wish to opt for this service. Terms and conditions do apply.
Optional Examination Participation Fees: When your child is entered into a Royal Academy of Dance examination, external fees apply. Your teacher will inform the administration team about your child’s enrollment in the exam, and the associated fee will be invoiced to you directly.
In-Studio Performances
Once a year, the GAPA Junior Ballet School proudly hosts a Family Afternoon and Performance featuring our Junior Ballet Academy students. This special event provides an opportunity for families to celebrate the achievements of their young dancers in an intimate and memorable studio setting.
To help support the event, a small participation fee per child will apply. This fee contributes to the preparation and running of the performance, ensuring a wonderful experience for all.
We look forward to sharing this joyful and unforgettable occasion with our students and their families!
All payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or direct debit.
Please note no cash is accepted
Missed Classes:
Missed classes are non-refundable.
Make-up classes may be offered at the Academy’s discretion, subject to availability.
Cancellations and Refunds:
If a student withdraws from the program, refunds will not be provided for the remaining term.
Refunds are only granted if the Academy cancels a class or program.
Trial Classes:
First-time trial classes are complimentary for new students. Feel free to invite a special friend that is interested in joining the GAPA Junior School community.
